Iโ€™m marching towards a brighter future for people living with neuroendocrine cancer!

This March Iโ€™m walking to raise funds for NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) and all Australians living with neuroendocrine cancer, Australiaโ€™s 7th most diagnosed cancer.

NECA is the only Australian not-for-profit medical charity dedicated to neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Their commitment to assisting patients, raising awareness, advocating for new treatments, and supporting Australian research is crucial.

This March Iโ€™m joining forces with other Australians to support the 25,550+ people living with NETs in our country.

Together, we can make a real impact on the lives of NET patients and work towards a brighter future.

Support my fundraiser for NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia today as I March4NETs!

The Final Day

Sunday 31st Mar
Well what a rollercoaster this Neuroendocrine Cancer Australia March4NETS 2024 has been!

Overall I have enjoyed it and gained quite a bit of personal gain.

Incredibly greatful for all the support shown to me and this cause, THANK YOU ALLSO VERY VERY MUCH!

24 Days Down

Monday 25th Mar
Well, hasn't the time flown by?

24 days in, 91km completed!

Supported our Kiwi mates across the dutch, Linton Army Relay for Life! Doubled my daily distance for each day of their relay, 23rd & 24th March

Looks like I will be finished in good time prior to the end of the month!

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH TO EVERYONE who has supported me throughout this fundraiser!

If you are so inclined please please Chuck a couple of bucks towards my campaign, every single cent counts towards getting on top of this insidious ย disease that is cancer. I really would like to finish off hitting my target amount of $3000!

Cheers,

Bj, Mac, Brad

11 Days in, still a struggle physically but pushing myself

Monday 11th Mar
Took off quickly on day 1 with my eldest Son, Benjamin setting a cracking pace. We went late at 23:30 so the pedometer put half the distance into the next days tally.

Days 2 & 3 were tough but I managed to struggle through. Days 4, 5 & 6 I could feel some of my leg muscle memory coming back but my guts were not happy with it at all.

Disaster struck on Day 7! A short distance in and the rumblings started, I had to locate a Toilet facility (not that easy these days!) IMMEDIATELY! Fortunately I found one and crisis was averted but the walk could not continue, shuffled home to have lay down.

Day 8 was a wash out with my internals still not wanting to play the game.

Days 9, 10 & 11 what can I say except HOT, DAMN HOT! But I have managed to get to circuit completed each day.

Still on track to get to the 100km by the end of the month but there is a long way to go.

I would like to express my immense gratitude to all those who have Sponsored me in this endeavour, I really did enjoy being at the top of the donations table, even if it was short lived.

Cheers,

Brad
