I’m marching towards a brighter future for people living with neuroendocrine cancer!
This March I’m walking to raise funds for NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) and all Australians living with neuroendocrine cancer, Australia’s 7th most diagnosed cancer.
This cause is incredibly personal to me as last year, I was diagnosed with a rare NET - neuroendocrine tumour - called a pheochromocytoma. I came extremely close to losing my life. These cancers are called the silent killers in the medical field as they have no warning signs.
My family had also been previously affected by NETs with the death of one of my brothers at the age of 42.
NECA is the only Australian not-for-profit medical charity dedicated to neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Their commitment to assisting patients, raising awareness, advocating for new treatments, and supporting Australian research is crucial.
This March I’m joining forces with other Australians to support the 29,350+ people living with NETs in our country.
Together, we can make a real impact on the lives of NET patients and work towards a brighter future.
