I’m marching towards a brighter future for people living with neuroendocrine cancer!

This March I’m walking to raise funds for NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) and all Australians living with neuroendocrine cancer, Australia’s 7th most diagnosed cancer.

NECA is the only Australian not-for-profit medical charity dedicated to neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Their commitment to assisting patients, raising awareness, advocating for new treatments, and supporting Australian research is crucial.
They helped me so much during my diagnosis & were fantastic I couldn’t have gotten through it without them.

This March I’m joining forces with other Australians to support the 29,350+ people living with NETs in our country. And I am One of them!

Together, we can make a real impact on the lives of NET patients including myself and work towards a brighter more informed future.

Support my fundraiser for NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia today as I March4NETs!

Weeks of injections 3 needles a day of octreotide then surgery a right hemicoloectomy in April 2020 yep right at the start of Covid-19
Removing 50% large & 30% small bowel I was in ICU for two days and on the ward for another 7 days.
Followed by more bigger needles Sandostatin injections every 3 weeks for the following 2 years
The cancer was stage 3 NET grade 2 with lymph  node involvement & it had infiltrated my nervous system
5 yrs on yearly PET scans 6 monthly check ups & 3 monthly blood tests last scan showed increased activity in the stomach and small bowel plus we just found the surgery has caused me to have a blind loop awaiting surgery to remove.
