I've created this page for our community event.
Hi everyone!
On the 7th of May I will be shaving my head!
June 20th 2017 my mums life changed forever when we received her diagnosis. The small knowledge surrounding neuroendocrine cancer made this a really scary situation to navigate and often left us lost and looking for answers.
After a few months the hospital was able to provide me the education through a nursing program to administer my mums treatment for her once a month at home instead of her having to go into hospital to receive it. This small comfort during such a tough journey for her is the least I can provide for her.
Which is also my hope with this fundraiser, anything anyone can spare can help with the community of people surrounding neuroendocrine cancer so that education, awareness and support can be provided to those in need.
To my mother,
The experience we had at the start of this journey was awful, yet you stayed strong and although you may not always feel it, myself and those around you are proud of how you continue to persevere. I love you.
