I’m marching towards a brighter future for people living with neuroendocrine cancer

This March I’m walking to raise funds for NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) and all Australians living with neuroendocrine cancer, Australia’s 7th most diagnosed cancer.


NECA is the only Australian not-for-profit medical charity dedicated to neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Their commitment to assisting patients, raising awareness, advocating for new treatments, and supporting Australian research is crucial.

This March I’m joining forces with other Australians to support the 25,550+ people living with NETs in our country. Together, we can make a real impact on the lives of NET patients and work towards a brighter future.

Neuroendocrine cancers are a complex group of tumours that most commonly develop in the digestive or respiratory tracts. The tumours come from neuroendocrine cells; their main function is to create, store and secrete peptides (a protein) and hormones for normal bodily functions. 

It's the 7th most diagnosed cancer in Australia, however government funding is non-existent (go figure) and treatment options are limited. I'm walking in March to raise awareness; I hope you can help me reach my goal!
