I’m marching towards a brighter future for people living with neuroendocrine cancer!

This March I’m walking to raise funds for NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) and all Australians living with neuroendocrine cancer, Australia’s 7th most diagnosed cancer.


NECA is the only Australian not-for-profit medical charity dedicated to neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Their commitment to assisting patients, raising awareness, advocating for new treatments, and supporting Australian research is crucial.

This March I’m joining forces with other Australians to support the 29,350+ people living with NETs in our country.

Together, we can make a real impact on the lives of NET patients and work towards a brighter future.

Saturday 8th Mar
At 28 i never thought i would receive the phone call to say that i didn’t have appendicitis it was actually a tumour that had outgrown my appendix, and that it was cancerous. 
Next on the list was the ascending colon and the lymph nodes attached to them. 
I was fortunate enough that it was only two organs that are not a vital necessity. 
It was like someone slammed on the emergency brakes on my life. 
Two years later and thanks to a fantastic medical team, friends and family and i am starting to come back to a somewhat new normal life. 

Finding out that i had a cancerous tumor making a home in me for 4-8 years ( so my early 20’s) and was unaware and barely had any symptoms was … well insane. Finding out that the only treatment out there is surgical was also a lot to process, especially as mine had tracked to my lymphatic system. 

Like many NET has a very late diagnosis and many have accidental diagnosis. 
Any donations would be incredible for better future for myself and anyone currently living with NET.
