Jake & Steve's Everesting Challenge - 10 Nov 2024
Jake and Steve are doing something a bit crazy to raise vital funds and awareness on 10 November 2024, World Neuroendocrine Cancer Day: we are attempting an "Everest" on our bikes (see: https://everesting.cc/the-rules/).
What does that mean? We are going to try and climb the vertical height of Mount Everest (8,848m) by climbing Mount Osmond Road in Adelaide 42 times! For context, Steve has never racked 2,000 vertical meters on a single ride before.
Why? For starter's, we're nuts (it was technically Jake's idea). Secondly and more importantly, we both have dear family affected by this form of cancer (Steve's wife Jamie, and Jake's mother-in-law Kathy, who sadly passed last year). See their stories here:
