My target 100 kms

I’m marching towards a brighter future for people living with neuroendocrine cancer!

This March I’m walking to raise funds for NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia (NECA) and all Australians living with neuroendocrine cancer, Australia’s 7th most diagnosed cancer.

NECA is the only Australian not-for-profit medical charity dedicated to neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Their commitment to assisting patients, raising awareness, advocating for new treatments, and supporting Australian research is crucial.

This March I’m joining forces with other Australians to support the 31,000+ people living with NETs in our country.

Together, we can make a real impact on the lives of NET patients and work towards a brighter future.

Support my fundraiser for NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia today as I March4NETs!

100km Done — And So Much More 🩵

Monday 30th Mar

We’ve actually clocked up more kms than this… just not everyone has logged theirs yet 😏

But wow — what a month.

I can’t thank you all enough. Not just for the donations, but for the support, the messages, the people who got out there and moved with us… it’s meant everything 🩵

For me, this was about proving I could do 100 km.

But it became so much more than that.

It’s been a reminder for Brendan that he’s not just supported — he has people around him who are willing to stand with him and fight this alongside him.

And the funds raised?

They’ll help so many others — supporting better treatments, earlier detection, and improved outcomes for everyone affected.

It’s also a reminder that we’re all fighting something — whether it’s health, mental, or life in general. And if we’re able to, we can always help someone who needs it just that little bit more 🩵

We’re finishing this challenge incredibly grateful, a little competitive 😅 and very proud of what we’ve done together.

⏳ You’ve still got until 31 March if you’d like to donate

Purchy Fam Bam — you’re amazing 🩵

We’re on the move 🩵

Saturday 21st Mar

Purchy Fam Bam – 100km for Brendan is currently:
🔥 #3 on the fundraising leaderboard
🔥 #1 for total kms – 315 km
🔥 $2,800+ raised

And personally… I’m almost there:
92 km done — only 8 km to go!

When I signed up for this, 100 km felt like a stretch. But here we are.

THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who has donated, joined, shared or got out there and moved with us. You’re part of this. Every step, ride and run counts 🩵

Why this matters:
• 5,700+ Australians are diagnosed each year
• 31,000+ people are living with NET cancer
• It takes on average 5 years to get a correct diagnosis

11 days to go 🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️🚶‍♀️🩵

If you’ve been thinking about it — now’s the time:
• Come join me for a walk or ride
• Make a small donation
• Share this post and help us reach more people

And just quietly… our team kms are actually higher than shown — not everyone has logged their movements 😏 It’s definitely bringing out my competitive streak 🔥  Let’s see if we can push for #1 💪

Wondering where your donation goes?

🩵 $10 – sends a patient booklet
🩵 $25 – supports newly diagnosed patients
🩵 $100 – funds online support resources
🩵 $250+ – helps run workshops & patient events
🩵 $1000 – contributes to life-changing research

Every dollar = real support for people living with neuroendocrine cancer 🩵 & hope for us 🙏🏼

Let’s bring this home… and maybe go beyond Go Purchy Fam Bam!

This March we’re stepping up for March4NETs 💙

Saturday 28th Feb

In 2024 Brendan was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour (NET) — a rare and often slow-growing cancer that can be complex and unpredictable. It’s been a year of learning, adjusting, and facing things we never expected. But we’re choosing action.

As the Purchy Fam Bam, we’re committing to walk, run or ride 100kms (or more!) during March to raise funds and awareness for NeuroEndocrine Cancer Australia — the organisation supporting research, patients and families living with NETs.

We’d love your support.

You can:

• Donate to our page

• Join our team and clock up kms with us

• Share this post to spread awareness

Every kilometre matters. Every dollar helps.

And every bit of support means more than you know.

Let’s move together. For Brendan. For awareness. For hope. 💙
